Classroom in the Mother Teresa University Hospital Center in Tirana

This month, two new classrooms were inaugurated at the Mother Teresa University Hospital Center in Tirana, Albania, making educational continuity accessible to children hospitalized in the pediatric oncology department.

The initiative, led by the Israeli civil society organization SASA Setton with the support of the Center for Jewish Impact, was developed in collaboration with Albania’s Ministries of Education and Health. The Israeli Embassy in Tirana supported the project as part of broader efforts to strengthen cooperation between our countries.

The classrooms are now fully equipped with computers, tablets for bed-bound children, and an arts and crafts space. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama, government ministers, and project partners, who underscored the importance of international cooperation in advancing access to education and health services.
